WHISBORNE ENGLISH SPRINGER SPANIELS |
Whisborne was established in 1962 of Harald Ulltveit-Moe Well-known for producing champions in different breeds.
In the last 35 years the main interest have been
spaniels. Including American cocker spaniels, English cocker spaniels and
English springer spaniels, but we have also made up Champions in other breeds
through the years.
We never use to breed more than two breeds at a time, and in the last years we
only breed
English springer spaniels and Lhasa Apsos.
Our classic type of english springer spaniels are founded on well-known
good old british lines,
combinated with the best from Scandinavia , who have made our success in northern
Europe possible. Our aim is to breed highclass showdogs who also will do work in the field.
Due to Annika Ulltveit-Moe´s judging appointments around the world, (FCI- All breed judge) we are not able to show our dogs as we use to, but still, we
are proud to be able to call us one
of the top breeders in the breed. English Springer Spaniels bred at Whisborne,
have been shown in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Germany, Austria,
Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg, Mexico ,USA and Canada with great success.
The most important English springer spaniels born here are the legendary and
world famous Multi.Ch. Whisborne Devil in Disguise. He got 14 titles to his credit and is sire of 48 champions and to 41 CC-winners
, who makes him to the all time top English Springer Spaniel studdog bred in Scandinavia. Other
famous springers bred here is ,His grandson Multi Ch.Whisborne Angus Og,
sire of 44 Champions, Ch. Whisborne Rule Brittania,
Ch.Whisborne Poco Loco .These 4 dogs have also the great honour to be
FCI- World Winners, from Switzerland, Italy,the Netherlands,and
Finland.
And not to forget,Ch.Whisborne Pot Luck, proud sire of 10 Champions and
Ch.Whisborne Spartacus, Sire of 3 champions in his first
and only litter,
and Ch.Whisborne Esquire, also sire of Champions, he was the first
Scandinavian bred English Springer Spaniel male to win his AKC-
Am.Ch. title. |
